   Solutions

The Digital Divide is a great global problem that will take alot to solve. Many organizations have taken action to start bridging that digital divide. These organizations are donated many high quality, used computers to give to the people in less developed countries that  need them. Schools in developed countries are constantly updating their computer systems and throwing out older, but still functioning computers.

These organizations also have volenteers that help provide software training to teach the people from the less developed countries how to use the computers.

       Effectiveness

Even though the work of these organizations is helping, they still aren't able to reach out and help every person that is in need. Also this isn't an easy job. Not only is it hard to find volenteers for this in the first place, but they need to be trained before they can train anyone else. The training is very necessary because with out it they wouldn't know how to use the computer or the internet. "The internet is only as good and as strong as it's user"
